i have experineced painful abrasions due to sexual intercourse over the past several months and they will not go away! my partner and i use lubrication jelly, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. i have not had sex for a month. however, the painful abrasions will not heal and they continue to cause immense discomfort! i have tried to promote dryness so that they can heal using a cool hair dryer, corn flour and not wearing underwear or tight clothing. i recently a mild hydrocortisone acetate cream. however, nothing appears to work. i have been taking the birth control pill (levlen ed) for the past 10 months, which i believe may be making my vagina more susceptable to yeast infections and abrasions. i think it is time to stop taking the pill! should i stop taking the pill? is there anything else that i can do to get rid of my abrasions and prevent them from occuring again? what birth control do you suggest instead.
