Hello,

Recently I have been experiencing problems with my libido. I did an Internet search on the effects of oral contraceptives on female libido and happened to come across your site. I find the information presented very relative to my situation. For examlpe, I have been married for little over a year now. We met back in high school (we were 15 then, and now we are 21), so I think we know each other's bodies and sexual tendencies very well. We have enjoyed thourough pleasure throughout our sexual lives. Of course we started out a little rocky, but once we got to know each other's bodies, it was a blast. I've been on the pill (and off occasionally during periods of inactivity) since I was 16. I started out on Ortho Tri-Cycclen; switched to Ortho Tri-Cyyclen Lo; about a year ago, my doctor switched me to Estroostep Fe (due to anemia). Since I've been taking the latter, I have gained about 20-25 lbs, and have been noticing a change in my libido. Even during sexual intercourse, I find myself complaining about the pain (and I know my husband's penis has not grown that much to cause me discomfort) or wanting to stop after only 1 round (which is unusual). Furthermore, I find myself saying that I don't need or want to orgasm. I used to like having oral sex performed on me, but now I'd rather not. My husband has a very-no make that extremely-high sex drive!! In the past, I have been able to keep up with him, but now, I just have a very low sex drive, if any at all. At first, I would attribute my lack of interest to fatique, school, my stressful job, basically anything I could come up with. Now, I don't have a stressful job and summer school doesn't start for another 2 weeks. I have pretty good eating habits and I exercise regularly; however, I have not been able to shed the extra 20 lbs I'm packing, nor have I regained my libido. The only feasible explanation I can come up with is that "is must be the pill." I can relate to many of the concerns others have emailed about. There seems to be a trend in the symptoms experienced, but you did not mention any percentages or likelihood of incidence. I do not deny the fact that I am experiencing side effects of the pill, it's just that I recently took a research concepts class and I am a little apprehensive about believing everything I hear or read. Additionally, you offer a wide array of products. Are there any side effects associated that should be noted? While I know that certain medicines are effective enhancers, I am really not a supplement person. Is there any way to regain my libido without the use of supplements (i.e. is there an all natural way)?
